Hanna and Alex wanted it to feel like a film. Films do not usually have this much fun.

The place
Baja Luna is white walls and round arches against a hard blue sky. In black and white it looks like the Mediterranean in the sixties. In colour it looks like Baja. Both are true.
They said their vows under an arch of white flowers while the palms moved overhead.
The two of them
Hanna in a slip dress and a veil that caught every bit of wind. Alex in sunglasses, holding a drink like it was a cover shoot. Quiet, magnetic, a little cinematic. They never needed a prompt.
What I took with me
A dance floor checkered like a chessboard under white drapes. Sparklers for the first dance. Then Hanna changed into the short dress, the flash came out, and the night stopped being elegant and became theirs.
